Loren Allred wasn’t just another contestant on America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League.
She was the original voice behind “Never Enough,” the iconic song from The Greatest Showman that had been heard by millions around the world.
This time, however, she wanted to do something no one expected.
With encouragement from her mentor, Simon Cowell, Loren completely reinvented the song.
The performance began in total silence.
No orchestra.
No dramatic production.
Just Loren singing the opening lines a cappella.
The audience barely breathed.
Then, little by little, the music entered.
The arrangement grew larger, slower, and even more emotional than the original version, building toward a breathtaking cinematic finale.
By the final note, the entire theater was on its feet.
Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Simon Cowell all gave her a standing ovation.
Mel B admitted she was completely blown away by Loren’s extraordinary talent.
The audience agreed.
Thanks to the public vote, Loren advanced to the semifinals as a member of Team Simon.
There, she delivered another emotional performance with the classic “Over the Rainbow.”
Although she narrowly missed a place in the Finals, many fans believed she deserved to go further and voiced their disappointment online.
Even so, Loren returned for the Grand Final as a special guest performer, proving once again that her voice remains one of the most unforgettable in the history of the Got Talent franchise.
Sometimes, the person who sings the original version can still find a way to surprise the world all over again.
