12-year-old Alfie Andrews from Manchester walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage looking like an ordinary schoolboy, but within seconds he became one of the most talked-about contestants of the season. The young British singer had traveled to the United States for the first time and chose to perform Lady Gaga’s challenging ballad “Hold My Hand.”
From the very first notes, the audience fell silent. Alfie showcased astonishing vocal maturity for his age, delivering powerful high notes and remarkable control. By the end of the performance, the entire crowd and all four judges were on their feet, giving him a standing ovation.
Sofía Vergara admitted she was already ready to buy his future album, while Simon Cowell predicted that people would remember his name. Alfie received four unanimous “Yes” votes and advanced confidently to the next round of the competition.
